How do one to one golf lessons work?
- Set the Goal
You and your coach can identify your goals to ensure you enjoy playing the game - Agree the Duration
Once the goal has been agreed, you and your coach will agree a length of time to achieve your goal - Recommend the Coaching Time
Based on the goal and time, your coach will recommend the amount of coaching time required - Agree the Payment Plan
Pay for your coaching program in one go or split it over the duration.
Andrew Blackman

Andrew turned Professional in 1995 and in the 1999/2000 intake I achieved the prestigious status of being in the ‘Top 10’ Trainees of the Year in Great Britain and Ireland and was awarded a Titleist and Footjoy Scholarship.
I’ve been at Pyrford Golf Club in picturesque Surrey as Head Golf Professional since 2004. Prior to Pyrford I coached at Surrey Golf and Fitness and was full time coach at Merrist Wood Golf Club coaching the HND Golf Study Students with handicaps ranging from plus 4 to 9.
Since then, I have worked with and studied the teachings of some of the best coaches in the world through the PGA at training courses and seminars and my own experiences.
Matt Chivers
PGA Professional
Matt became a golf professional in 2021 starting his career at The Richmond Golf Club and is making a return to Pyrford after previously working in the pro shop. He has extensively taught all levels during this period and also still enjoys playing competitively in tournaments within the South region of the PGA.
With a genuine passion for the game Matt strives to help his students technically but also practically. Matt aims to focus on manageable goals with his students that range from beginners to highly skilled.
